Warrenton Furniture Exchange, Inc. is the oldest retail business in Warren County. Founded in 1934, Warrenton Furniture Exchange originally sold a mix of new and used furniture to the local community of Warren County. In just a few years, the company moved to selling only new furniture. As we have grown, the company has expanded to become a premier full-service home furnishings store, by adding mattresses, appliances, electronics, carpet and vinyl flooring, and area rugs. We proudly maintain a full-time service department, and are always ready to assist our customers with their repair and maintenance needs. We provide a portfolio of quality brands, including: La-Z-Boy, Catnapper, Jackson, Spring Air, Coaster, Frigidaire, Crosley, Vaughan Bassett, Powell, and International Furniture Direct. Warrenton Furniture Exchange has also expanded the communities it serves, and is proud to be the premier furniture dealer for Gaston Lake, Kerr Lake, Henderson, Hollister, Littleton, Macon, Franklin, and Norlina, and the surrounding communities.
For three generations, Warrenton Furniture Exchange has been a family-owned and family-operated business. In 1934, Simon Gardner founded
the company, and in 1946 was joined by his son Scott Gardner. In 1978, David Gardner joined his father at Warrenton Furniture Exchange, and today David serves as the President of the company and manages all operations. David is at the store daily, ensuring the continuing commitment to quality furniture, great prices, and industry-leading customer service that Warrenton Furniture Exchange has always provided.
The Gardner family has a deep understanding and lifelong commitment to the furniture industry and to their local community. This allows Warrenton Furniture Exchange to provide unparalleled service to it's customers. The company has decades-long relationships with local and national furniture suppliers, which allows us to provide fantastic product and great prices to our customers. More importantly, we have a multi-generation relationship with our local community. We know our customers, many of them on a first name basis! We know the furniture and furnishings that they want, and they need. We have a "customer first" approach to every aspect of our business, from our sales floor, to our employees who provide free delivery to all of our customers, to our service technicians, trusted by our community to provide in-home repair and maintenance service.
Our commitment to the happiness and satisfaction of our customers is paramount. It is a privilege to serve our community and carry on a family
tradition in a business that we love, providing people with products that they want and need for their homes.
As the owner of Warrenton Furniture Exchange, David Gardner reflects this same commitment to community. He supports the local Warrenton Rural Fire Department, providing the funding for a dormitory room in the new fire station in honor of his father Scott. He also gets up at 4:30am every Thanksgiving to help cook for a fund-raising breakfast, proceeds benefiting the Fire Department. David has been a member of the Warrenton Lions Club since 1988, has received the Lion of the Year award, and the Jack Stickley Award (the Lions' highest honor). David has served on the Warren county Economic Development Commission, and was a founding Board Member for the Warren County Habitat for Humanity, and has served on the local advisory board of BB&T bank since 1986. He has also served 15 years on the Board for the Aubrey Brooks Scholarship selection committee.
Unwavering commitment to the community is the gold standard that Warrenton Furniture Exchange upholds, and it is personally reflected in the commitment of our owner and every one of our employees. We hope to be able to serve you soon as the trusted source for all of your home
furnishing needs.
